The Swimming Pool Quadrilateral

The Council has embarked on an ambitious development programme known as the “Swimming Pool Quadrilateral”: a strategic area covering 5 hectares between rue Nationale, rue du Bus, rue du Haze and rue Gabriel Péri.

The project in brief

This unexploited town centre site will eventually contain 400 to 500 homes, a school with 15 classes, an infancy centre, cultural and associative facilities, offices, shops, renovated public spaces and an administrative centre to centralise all the council services.

Tourcoing Council is looking to turn the Swimming Pool Quadrilateral into a district that is:

Ecologically, economically and socially sustainable,
Economically attractive to companies,
Balanced in terms of its diversified housing offer,
Ambitious in terms of its architectural forms, amenities and later life,
Innovative in terms of its design, construction, management and governance,
Sustainable in terms of the financial approach to the project.
