The Town Council is the town’s decision-making body; it manages the budget and the town’s affairs. It meets regularly to vote in the decisions taken at municipal level.
The Municipal Council is made up of elected representatives from the majority and the opposition. They are elected for 6 years and all sit on the Municipal Council. They are responsible for the commune’s affairs and vote on the discussions that are held. They are there to listen to your needs, so please feel free to contact them on the issues for which they are responsible.
Make life in the town easier! Use the Council’s digital tools: email or SMS alerts, an app, a weekly web newspaper, administrative formalities online, etc. Stay connected and informed when and where you want ;-)!
Tourcoing has a policy of European and international cooperation, based on its network of 9 twin towns: Mouscron (Belgium), Berlin Mitte, Bottrop, Mühlhausen (Germany), Rochdale (Great Britain), Jastrzebie-Zdroj (Poland), Biella (Italy) and Guimarães (Portugal).
